Long live the 1st Georges Loinger Maccabiades!

On a pleasant and sunny weather, the first Georges Loinger Maccabiades organized by OSE were held on Sunday, June 30th at Château de Laversine.

Both sportive and festive, this event pays tribute to the great hero that was Georges Loinger, but also to the educator and high-level athlete he used to be.

The Maccabiades were officially launched by Patricia Sitruk, Director General of OSE and Tamar Jacobs, niece of Georges Loinger, with the presence of Isaac Touitou, Deputy Director of ORT France, a loyal partner of OSE in its educational mission.

After sharing an outdoor lunch, more than 150 children from OSE homes and services accompanied by their educators, confronted each other in teams in various disciplines: football, basketball, sprinting, Tog-of-War…

Eventually, awards were given to the participants, in the presence of the Chief Rabbi of France Haim Korsia, who came to congratulate the young people and the adults.

The 1st Maccabiades ended with a giant snack in the garden of the castle, including delicious cakes and ice cream, for the pleasure of all!

Congratulations to the team at Laversine’s children home for their welcome and the organization of this beautiful event, as well as to Jacky Krief for his animation.
