OSE to open a new children’s home for siblings

L’OSE was selected by the City of Paris in a call for projects dedicated to the care of siblings, boys and girls, aged 3 to 15.

By the end of 2024, this new facility will accommodate and care for 18 children entrusted to Paris’s Aide Sociale à l’Enfance. It will comprise two houses, each housing 9 children, in the inner suburbs.

The strength of the project lies in the integration of the PMP (Protection, Médiation, Prévention) service as an expert in family support, particularly for siblings.

The Maison will be named after “Willy Fogel” (1928-2003). A Jew of Polish origin, deported to the Buchenwald camp, Willy Fogel created the Amicale des Anciens et Sympathisants de l’OSE with Armand Bulwa and Jacques Finkel, who were taken in by the OSE after the war. The Amicale brings together former OSE members, hidden children and Holocaust survivors, as well as their friends and family members.
