Leon Lewkowicz, Auschwitz extermination camp survivor and former OSE child, carried the Olympic flame !

At the age of 94, Léon Lewkowicz carried the flame from the Bir-hakeim metro station to the Vel d’Hiv Memorial Garden. Along the way, Léon was accompanied by the applause of many spectators who came to support him, including OSE employees and children from the Maison Shatta and Bouli Simon in Laversine.
