The President of the Republic at OSE to mark the National Caregivers Day

 

The French President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron, accompanied by his wife Brigitte, and Sophie Cluzel, Secretary of State for People with Disabilities, visited the PHARE disability respite platform of the OSE on the occasion of the 10th National Day of caregivers.

In the presence of Jean-François Guthmann, President of the OSE, and Patricia Sitruk, Director General, the President of the Republic, after discussing with the team of professionals, met caregivers who shared their concerns and expectations with him, and also their satisfaction with the responses provided by the OSE respite platform.

The PHARE respite platform, created in April 2019, offers caregivers of people with disabilities a space of ​​individual and collective support. Set up in June 2020, “community 360” offers via the national toll-free number 0 800 360 360 help and respite solutions and enhanced support to people with disabilities and their family caregivers in difficulty or without immediate solution in the framework of the health crisis and its consequences. The OSE has been appointed to be the relay for this system throughout Paris. The OSE has also been working for caregivers of dependent elderly people for almost 10 years: In Paris, the Joseph Weill Club offers support for elderly people and caregivers, respite solutions, listening and personalized advice. In Sarcelles, the Renée Ortin platform is a place of welcome, resources and support for caregivers in the Val-d’Oise Department.
