Last November, Hélène Le Gal, Ambassador of France in Israel, received at the Ambassador Residence a group of young French currently on mission of civic service in Israel.
Jean-François Guthmann, President of the OSE and Patricia Sitruk, Executive Director, were present at the invitation, as were the OSE Civic Volunteers, the representatives of the Israeli Volunteer Association (IVA), the Israeli Ministry of Social Affairs, the two main partners of the OSE for this civic service program in Israel, and the heads of the hosting structures.
The 8th promotion of volunteers has arrived in Israel on February 15, 2018. All the childcare facilities, including the Wizo, express their entire satisfaction with the quality and commitment of these volunteers who work with people with disabilities, the elderly, loss of autonomy, as well as with young aged children and high school students.
130 have engaged with OSE in Israel since the launch of the program. Since April 2017, thanks to the dynamism of the OSE, Israel is the second world destination for young French citizens in civic service.
